To permit the use of Xtend™ sucromalt for use as a novel food ingredient in a range of general purpose and special purpose foods. The application also sought approval for the enzyme Alternansucrase.

This application was withdrawn by the applicant on 31 May 2012.

The purpose of this application is to remove the current restrictions on package sizes of low fat cheese enriched with phytosterol esters.
